Colleen Pageant

Each year, the Sons of Erin Cape Cod, in conjunction with the Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, awards scholarships to local female high school seniors of Irish descent. The Colleen winner (Queen) will receive a $1,000.00 scholarship, and three runner-up court winners will receive a $500.00 scholarship each.

Criteria for Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Parade Colleen Pageant:

  1. Must be a female high school senior with plans for continued education in an accredited program.
  2. Must be of Irish descent.
  3. Must maintain, at least, a B average.
  4. Must be a resident of a town on Cape Cod.
  5. Must be available for a pre-pageant interview (time & place to be determined), and the Grand Marshal’s Ball / Colleen Coronation scheduled for Friday, March 3, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Irish Village on Rt. 28 in Yarmouth and the Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Parade on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
  6. Must submit completed application with one letter of reference from a high school teacher, a member of the clergy or community/civic department leader and an essay describing what your Irish heritage means to you.
  7. Must submit a photograph. Photos of the 4 winners will be featured in the 2017 Parade Program Book.
